Starbuck lived in Weed, California, and sadly died in February 2003, but his spirit lives on, and these pictures capture some of the love that his existence brought to the world. I hope his smile in the top photo remains with you your entire life and beyond, for Starbuck knew of the joy of existence and posed for me so that I would always know, too.
